Crossman came and spent a couple of days with us in Cambridge.
We enjoyed the fine weather, good food and coffee, went to The Shire (more on that later) and enjoyed some fine backyard cricket…
After a pretty relaxing Christmas ,we headed up to Cambridge for a week of holiday. During this time, i went up to Mahurangi to go to Tom Newton-Smith’s wedding.
As i was staying in Oratia and Dan hadn’t made it back to Auckland, it meant i had a few hours hanging out with the lovely Wroes which was fantastic as always.
They are such good friends and even though im appalling at staying in touch, whenever i see them its as if i saw them yesterday….
Tom’s wedding to Rose was lovely, full of good fun and it also meant i got to spend some more time with Dan before he flew back to Kazakhstan.
Crossman was best man and did a hilarious speech and it was great to see him on form. Tom and Rose both looked amazing and he especially was a happy man.
Something else that was fun was that in the ‘NZ is such a small place’ situation, Dan and Ngaire were at the wedding.
Ngaire was mine and Bundy’s housemate in Auckland over 10 years ago when we lived in Te Atatu Road!
She and Dan had been dating for a while when i lived in Auckland and they got married not long after i left in Nov 2003.
They have been married for 9 years, have 3 kids and now live in Taupo.
They know Rose through church and were just as surprised to see me as i was them…!
Such great fun to catch up with friends of old and make new memories…
My lovely son has reached 7 months old already!
Jake is doing really well and is full of joy and life.
