Moneyball

Based on the true story of Billy Beane, general manager of the Oakland Athletics baseball team who used analysis and a new, nontraditional sabermetric approach to scouting players in order to create a more competitive baseball team, although Oakland’s revenue system was a major disadvantage to the team. The film is based on the 2003 book of the same name written by Michael M. Lewis.
